Tool Room Grinder (P12495)

The primary responsibility of a tool-room grinder / operator is to maintain/ grind punches quality parts to blue prints specification or verbally utilizing the resources available within the department to meet tool-room tolerances. Candidate will work both independently and as a team and must demonstrate skills in accuracy and detail.
Required Skills
Maintain spare sharpened die section, punches, faceplates, slitters and cutoffs
Setup and operate manual and automatic grinders in an efficient and safe manner
Setup and grind parts to print on surface grinders
Check the quality of each part produced
Comply with all quality and safety policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Minor maintenance of wet and dry grinders (filling grinders with oil and adding coolant)
Maintain a clean work place and clean machines after use
Knowledge in use of all Machine Tools, and Measuring Instruments.
Skills & Abilities:
Education:
GED and/or 5+ years of grinding experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Stamping die experience preferred.
Experience::
2-5 years hands on experience with surface grinders both manual and automatic.
2-5 years of stamping die experience preferred.
Certifications:
Must qualify in MiTek Forklift Certification. Other MiTek Certifications as required.
Computer Skills:
Some PC skills helpful, but not required.
Other Requirements:
At least 2-5 years of hands on experience with surface grinders both manual and automatic.
Ability to hold tolerances of +/- .001"
Ability to build up a compound or single angle sine plate or bar using gage blocks
Ability to use spin and index fixtures
Ability to verify part conformity using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages and other measuring instruments
Strong math skills
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Ability to relate to team members well and to communicate clearly and concisely.
Attitude of openness to change and exhibit a desire to improve everyday
Help other departments to keep production running
Required Experience
2-5 years hands on experience with surface grinders both manual and automatic.
2-5 years of stamping die experience preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
