Description: Louisville Bedding Company has immediate openings for experienced maintenance mechanics. This role is critical to the operations of our fiber processing and bedding components facility as it ensures proper operation of machinery, control panels and mechanical equipment.
Positions are for first (7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) or second shift (3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, and the possibility of overtime on Saturdays and Sundays.
Drug screen & criminal background check are conducted post offer.
Duties: Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
Repairs and replaces industrial machines and mechanical components such as motors, blowers, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, seals, belts, etc.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Repairs and replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit boards, fuses, etc.
Uses machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Qualifications: Three or more years of hands-on maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's, low voltage and 3-phase electrical systems.
Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, instruction manuals and safety rules and procedures.
Ability to drive a forklift and other equipment.
Requires walking & standing entire shift; ability to lift 25 - 75 pounds; frequent reaching below, at or above shoulder level, stooping, bending, crawling, climbing, and gripping.
Must furnish own hand tools.
Must speak English; bilingual preferred.
Must be available to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
