Set up Various manufacturing equipment to perform machining operations, such as:
_ CNC machine, boring, inserting dowels, routing, operating table saw and other machines_.
Check overall length and construction with tape measure if necessary.
Input job specific programs to ensure that the numerical displays on the control panel match the data on the production sheet.
Perform various quality check and inspect pieces for conformance to job specifications.
Must show leadership and ensure quality products are produced effectively and efficiently.
All operators are expected to maintain their machinery and work spaces in a clean and organized manner.
Operators must have the ability to move in a fast paced environment while adhering to company quality guidelines.
Operators must update the status of jobs in progress and completed by using company shop floor management software and notify manager of any issues.
Must work well with other team members on various machines to keep up with the production schedule.
Must be focus, discipline and have a sense of urgency to accomplish personal, professional and company goals.
High attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving capabilities, along with good communication skills is a must.
Requirements:
Job Functions Depending on the Machine may include but not limited to:
Read and thoroughly understand the Job Cut Sheet before starting each job Communicate with other machine operators to ensure that all processes are working efficiently.
Control an adjust machine settings to ensure maximum product quality Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold the company's reputation Determine the fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications Reading CNC programs to determine dimensions, tolerances and set up for material and parts Modify machine speed, tooling, and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of manufactured parts Oversee the cutting process, make adjustments throughout each job, catch cabinet mistakes on paperwork, and take necessary measures to eliminate errors Supervise machine temperatures, ensure that the machine has an adequate warm-up and cool-down time between jobs, and replace coolant periodically.
Review and interpret cutting plans, enter them into control outlets before jobs, and alter them to correct mistakes when necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to move in a fast pace environment while adhering to customer quality and specification guidelines Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement.
Knowledge of how to read and understand measurement tools (tape measure, micrometer) Maintain quality and safety standards.
Organize and maintain cleanliness in the workplace at all times Record keeping of job information.
Must work well in a team environment.
Understands how to prioritize and interpret production schedules.
Attention to detail and critical thinking skills Good communication skills Minimum
Qualifications:
Cabinetry Experience preferred Math skills:
will need to understand addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions and decimals Ability to work repetitive movements and standing for long periods of time Ability to lift and slide products weighing 50 - 100 lbs.
